For those of you who kept up with the November 2008 trip south, you may recall what a huge fan I was of the Roland Martin Tiki Bar in Clewiston.  Well, Mr. Martin, I'm sorry to inform you that you've been bumped out of the #1 spot.  The Ft. Pierce Tiki Bar was phenomenal!  And what a band!  Video coming soon..

St. Lucie Lock... Before                                                        St. Lucie Lock... 16 feet after.

You start the Okeechobee crossing at Hell Gate.  On to the St. Lucie Lock and ending on the other side at Franklin Lock.  A great run today!  All went well.  No big waits for locks or bridges.  Following seas on the Big Mamma Oakey.  

Once past the last lock we decided to anchor up instead of making a additional two hour run to get to a marina.  So we pulled into Ox Bow at MM 124.3.  It's a little loop right off the ICW.  Another boat was already anchored here.  I think that two boats is about the max.  

Night on the hook then a final four hour run to Marco!
